Minimalist Hotels has unveiled its ambitious plan to expand its footprint with 20 new hotels over the next two years

With plans to raise INR 20 crore for this phase of growth, the expansion marks a significant milestone for the Lifestyle brand as it sets out to reinvent hospitality in the mid market segment across some of India’s most dynamic and culturally rich destinations, including Varanasi, NCR, Rajasthan, Goa, Mumbai, Uttarakhand and Chandigarh.
This strategic growth comes when the broader Indian hotel market is projected to expand from USD 15.67 billion in 2024 to USD 22.41 billion by 2030, growing at a CAGR of 9.32%, according to Research and Markets. Boutique and mid-scale lifestyle hotels, particularly in Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities, are expected to be major growth drivers, fuelled by increased domestic tourism, rising disposable incomes, and the growing preference for Bleisure (business + leisure) travel.
Minimalist Hotels currently operates across a total built-up area of 2,00,000 sq. ft. With this new expansion, an additional 7,00,000 sq. ft. will be added, resulting in a future portfolio spanning approximately 10 Lac/1 Million sq. ft. This rapid scale-up is supported by a robust investment in strengthening operational systems and building a solid corporate framework capable of managing the expanded footprint.

Commenting on the expansion, Gautam Munjal, CEO of Minimalist Hotels, said, “At Minimalist Hotels, our vision is to redefine the lifestyle hotel experience by blending minimalism with design, functionality, and local culture with global sensibilities. With the steady growth in tourism, we see a meaningful opportunity to extend our presence and offer thoughtfully curated hospitality to more travellers seeking comfort, authenticity, and a sense of connection.”
