IHCL opens Taj Hessischer Hof Frankfurt, marking Taj’s debut in Continental Europe’s luxury hospitality market

Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), India’s largest hospitality company, has announced the opening of Taj Hessischer Hof Frankfurt, marking the Taj brand’s entry into Continental Europe.
The opening brings Taj hospitality to one of Frankfurt’s most recognised hotel addresses. Originally established as Hotel Hessischer Hof, the property has reopened following extensive renovations and now joins Taj’s international portfolio.

Speaking on the opening, Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director & CEO, IHCL, said, “Established in 1903, Taj is a legendary symbol of timeless hospitality. The 126-key Taj Hessischer Hof Frankfurt is set within one of the city’s historic hospitality landmarks. The hotel features Bombay Brasserie, offering Bombay and Indian cuisine; Jimmy’s Bar, known for live piano performances and cocktails; and the Lobby Bar, a daytime café serving teas, coffees and pastries.

The hotel also offers Taj’s signature J Wellness Circle, rooted in the principles of Ayurveda, along with a fitness centre. For meetings and private receptions, the property features three event spaces with natural daylight and generous ceiling heights. It also houses The Chambers, Taj’s members-only business club.
