Treebo Hospitality Ventures (THV) has announced the signing of a new Mercure hotel in Siliguri, West Bengal, under its master franchise arrangement with Accor and InterGlobe

This landmark signing brings Accor’s globally acclaimed midscale brand Mercure to one of East India’s most prominent business and transit hubs — catering to corporate travellers and leisure tourists exploring North Bengal, Sikkim, and the Northeast.
Siliguri serves as a vital gateway connecting North Bengal, Sikkim, Darjeeling, and the Northeastern states. The city attracts a diverse range of visitors — from business professionals and project teams to families and adventure travellers. Its strategic location as both a commercial and leisure transit hub, coupled with proximity to the Himalayas and national parks, makes it an ideal destination for a globally recognised midscale hospitality brand.
The upcoming Mercure Siliguri will cater to these segments with a blend of internationally benchmarked service, locally inspired design, and a warm, authentic sense of place.
The hotel will feature 50 thoughtfully designed rooms, a multi-cuisine restaurant, banquet and meeting facilities, and modern amenities tailored for both business and leisure guests.
India’s mid-market hospitality segment continues to surge, propelled by rapid economic growth, domestic travel demand, and a preference for reliable, branded accommodations.
THV’s master franchise arrangement with Accor and InterGlobe is poised to accelerate the rollout of world-class midscale hotels across India’s emerging destinations. Mercure Siliguri reflects their shared commitment to operational excellence, consistent brand standards, and hospitality experiences rooted in local authenticity.

Sidharth Gupta, Co-founder & CEO, Treebo Hospitality Ventures (THV), said, “Siliguri is a high-potential market that connects multiple regions and traveller segments. Through our partnership with Accor, we are excited to bring Mercure to this vibrant city. The hotel embodies our vision of delivering globally benchmarked hospitality infused with local character — ensuring every guest enjoys a memorable stay.”

Ranju Alex, CEO, Accor South Asia, stated, “Siliguri plays a strategic role as a gateway to North Bengal and the Northeast, making it an important addition to our India portfolio. We are delighted to partner with Treebo Hospitality Ventures to bring Mercure here, combining the warmth of local hospitality with Accor’s trusted global standards.”
