Hyatt Regency Chennai appoints Venkateshwar Rao as Director of Sales and Marketing, bringing over a decade of hospitality sales experience
Hyatt Regency Chennai has announced the appointment of Venkateshwar Rao as Director of Sales & Marketing.In his new role, Rao will oversee the hotel’s sales and marketing functions, with a focus on revenue optimisation, brand positioning, business development, client relationships and market growth.
Rao brings over a decade of experience in hospitality sales and marketing across leading hotel brands. Most recently, he served as Director of Sales & Marketing at Hyatt Regency Ahmedabad, where he led commercial operations, supported inventory expansion and contributed to consistent revenue growth.
Prior to this, he held key leadership roles with Hyatt Place Hyderabad/Banjara Hills and Hyatt Pune, where he worked on revenue strategy, market positioning and customer engagement initiatives. Known for his results-driven approach, Rao has experience in developing sales teams, strengthening client relationships and executing strategies aimed at improving brand visibility and market share.
