With an illustrious career spanning over three decades, Vijaya brings a wealth of expertise in operations, culinary innovation, and sustainable hospitality practices.

Vijaya Kumar’s elevation to this role marks a significant internal promotion within GRT Hotels & Resorts. He previously served as the Cluster Director of Food & Beverage and successfully led F&B operations across Radisson franchise GRT hotels. He brings 17 years of experience with GRT Hotels and Resorts, having served in various capacities across multiple properties. Over the years, he has worked with leading brands including Taj, ITC, and SRM Hotels.

Passionate about giving back to the community, Vijaya has driven several impactful initiatives, including Chef Amudhupadai (a program to feed underprivileged children), collaborations with local farmers for organic produce, and the introduction of Braille menus and allergen-friendly dining experiences. He has also been instrumental in training and empowering differently-abled individuals in the bakery and hospitality sector.

Vijaya holds a Diploma in Hotel Management from IHM Chennai, along with multiple postgraduate degrees, including an MBA in Human Resources, MA in Public Administration, and a Masters in Tourism Management. He is also certified in ISO 22000, AHLA programs, and is an accredited trainer and auditor.
