Grand Hyatt Kochi Bolgatty has announced the appointment of Vinod K P as its new Director of Security
He joins the leadership team with over 30 years of experience spanning hospitality, aviation, healthcare and central government security services.
A graduate in Chemistry from the University of Calicut, Vinod began his professional journey in 1991 and entered the Central Industrial Security Force as a Sub-Inspector in 1992. During his decade-long tenure, he handled a wide range of responsibilities including administration, intelligence, crime prevention, mechanical transport operations and senior-level liaison, building strong expertise in managing complex, large-scale security environments.
He later moved into aviation security with SriLankan Airlines at Calicut International Airport, before beginning his hospitality journey with Hyatt Hotels Corporation in 2007 as Security Manager at Park Hyatt Goa Resort and Spa.
He went on to serve as Head of Safety and Security at Park Hyatt Chennai. Most recently, he was associated with Apollo Hospitals Enterprises Ltd., Chennai, where he led operations safety and security for several years.
A native of Kerala, Vinod K P returns to Hyatt with a strong understanding of the brand’s culture and operational ethos. He is recognised for his composed leadership style and people-centric approach, with a clear focus on strengthening safety frameworks, advancing risk management practices and building high-performing teams.
Commenting on his appointment, Vinod described it as a homecoming after eight years, recalling his earlier tenure with Hyatt as one of the most meaningful phases of his career. Guided by his personal philosophy, “Be Good, Do Good,” he believes in leading with integrity, humility and collaboration.
